Sawarabi Mosaic Tile Sample
Sawarabi is a Japanese unglazed stoneware tile with a long, narrow format and a deeply textured surface inspired by INAX's historic scratch finished tiles. Fine linear grooves run across each piece, creating shadow and depth that become more pronounced as light moves across the installation.
The collection is offered in Beige, Brown, Dark Brown, and Dark Brown Mix, moving from warm neutral tones into deeper, earthier shades. Natural variation in color, texture, and size gives the surface additional character from piece to piece.
Sawarabi works across feature walls, fireplaces, bathrooms, floors, facades, pools, and exterior surfaces. Its through body stoneware construction makes it a durable choice for residential and commercial installations, indoors and outdoors. Suitable for walls and floors.

Before you order we always recommend ordering samples first. Samples are cut swatches of the material, supplied in sizes ranging from approximately 4x4" to 6x6" depending on the product, so you can see the color, finish and natural variation before you commit. Sample orders ship within 2-5 business days.
Material orders: Please allow 7-10 business days for your order to be prepared for shipment. Larger orders may take a little longer, as they need to be packed on a pallet — if that’s the case we’ll be in touch to let you know, and we’ll always do our best to get your order out as quickly as we can.
Some materials are made to order or take longer to dispatch. Where that applies, we’ll note it on the product page above.
