INAX Homura Ceramic Sample

Homura, which means "fire" in Japanese, is a glazed ceramic tile with a subtle color gradient that recalls the warm hues of a flame. It's made using the same scratch-tile technique INAX created for Frank Lloyd Wright's Imperial Hotel in Tokyo in 1924, giving it a real link to architectural history.

Homura comes with two surface patterns, grid and scratch, and individual pieces, so it can be arranged in custom layouts rather than a fixed repeat. It's available in three colors: Light Beige, Light Brown, and Black. INAX suggests it for fireplaces, and its warmth and texture also suit feature walls and focal points.

As a fired ceramic, Homura is hard-wearing and durable, with natural variation in color and texture from tile to tile that is part of its handcrafted character.
