Hikkaki is a ceramic tile with a distinctive scratch-textured surface that adds raw, tactile depth to a wall. Made in Japan, it comes in Black and White, in both glazed and unglazed finishes.

Its elongated pieces are modular, so you can arrange them in the direction and pattern you like, stacked, offset, or mixed, to create your own composition. The textured surface gives subtle grip and durability, and Hikkaki holds up to heat, which makes it well suited to fireplaces as well as feature walls and bathroom or laundry walls.

As a fired ceramic, each tile carries natural variation in glaze and tone from the kiln, so no two are exactly alike.
