Crescent Border is an unglazed porcelain mosaic made of individual tiles shaped like crescent moons. Arranged in an alternating, laced pattern, they form a three-dimensional surface that INAX describes as ocean waves shining with moonlight. The design draws on the scooped Iraka roofs of traditional Japanese houses.
The sculptural, radial form catches light and shadow, shifting in appearance as the light changes through the day. It comes in four colors: White, Grey, Brown, and Black.
As a durable unglazed porcelain, Crescent Border is hard-wearing and weather-resistant, which makes it well suited to feature walls and architectural details, indoors and out. Its three-dimensional depth makes it a strong choice for a focal wall. Natural variation in color and texture from tile to tile, and even within the same batch, is part of its character.
