Fossil Marrone is a brown marble with large shell fossils and sedimentary rock. This stone is quarried in Morocco consisting of 100% real fossil ammonites and orthoceras. These are prehistoric squid and nautilus fossils carbon-dated back 350 million years. Ancient Greek and Roman sculptors and architects valued fossil marble as a cultural symbol of tradition and refined taste.Â
Each platter is hand-made in Morocco making each piece unique to the next.
NOTE: This product is made of natural stone and its color and structure may be uneven. Vertical or horizontal lines that may look visually like cracks are parts of the uniqueness of natural stone and not a defect.Â
