Biome captures the atmosphere of discovery experienced on a fascinating journey to unspoiled landscapes and faraway countries to find rare and precious types of wood.

It explores the nature of wood and the search for the living beauty in this material, in the form of the grain and the colors, where the effects of the veining are sometimes more structured and refined and sometimes more intense and striking.

We undertook this journey with passion and found exclusive varieties of oak and teak to make a range in Soft and Wild finishes where elegance and naturalness find their balance with superb aesthetic qualities which are intensified in the 12x96 in and 8x48 in sizes. 

Biome is part of the MICROBAN® COLLECTION which is a sophisticated line of antimicrobial porcelain tiles spanning an impressive array of nuanced designs modeled from real marble, natural stone, wood and other materials. The new “green” product is the perfect substitute for Wood. Created with built-in Microban® technology and in partnership with Panariagroup, this collection inhibits the growth of stain and odor-causing bacteria on the surface of the tiles to help create clean and fresh spaces. MICROBAN® COLLECTION, available in both standard tile formats and larger slabs in a variety of different finishes, can be applied to any surface, including floors, walls, countertops, and cabinetry. This collection costs less than natural stone and offers LEED-certified protection for the same price as traditional porcelain.

MICROBAN® COLLECTION tiles can be effectively complemented by the use of other antimicrobial building materials, such as the tile grout offered by Laticrete.
